Artist

It is frosty and dark from the pictures of Igor Paneyko. His sense of reality is somewhat aggravated and agonizing, that the artistic world, as if reflecting a distorted reality, turns into a ghostly space where it is useless to seek the beauties of reality. The painter’s speech is symbolic through and through. It is these signs that the master reveals the meaning of the subconscious motives of his creativity in the canvases.

The artist was born in the city of Stry, in Galicia. During 1975-1981 he studied at the Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts. Destiny sent the artist to Central Asia, where he worked for two years in the Uzbek city of Khiva. Since 1982 he moved to Transcarpathia. Here, for six years until 1988, he works in the Transcarpathian Ukrainian Muzdramt Theater. He taught at the Ardeli College of Arts (1997-1998).

Since 1982 he participated in regional, all-Ukrainian and foreign exhibitions. The works are in private collections in Ukraine and near and far abroad.

As his art, and life position Igor Paneyko defends the freedom of creative thought: “Government awards are not made. I do not belong to parties and unions, but I have a relative freedom and desire for Freedom. And sometimes I like drawing, for which I am grateful to the Creator. ” In the author’s artist treats biblical stories with a philosophical interpretation of “Beautiful guys and a very funny comedy”, “And the ship sails,” “Edge of the Earth,” “13”. The style of the author is the image of the reflected world in the fragments of the mirror of the eyes of his portrayed and imaginary characters (“Gioconda with a child”, “Nefertiti”) and the wandering motif of a ladder to the sky in such graphically filigree boards as “Gates”, “Canal”, “Theotokos “.
